Legends of Merathia (A D&D campaign)[Chapter Six: Manhunt]

looks on ready for a show

Temper keeps us safe from harm, in response, we give him a sacrifice, every sea festival

“So you’re going to sacrifice this innocent mans life to 'ze sea?”

He should be honoured to be a part of these proceedings

Is debating whether or not Grimm is worth battling for just incase. She decides, yeah she stil kinda needs him

Maledith seems indifferent towards it

“He should be honored to give his life when he haz family and friends to provide for? Put yourzelf in his shoes! Would you be willing to die and leave behind everything you’ve ever loved?” (Let me know If I need to roll persuasion or anything like that)

I would be honoured to give my life to protect Horaema

Val walks over to Grimm gods do exist. it stands to reason that this is how that are protected. it may be worse if they don’t

Grimm pulls out a javelin from the back of his cloak. “Then let this man go. I am a priest, I can perform the rite and you will serve as the sacrifice.”

Are you threatening me, outsider?

Val grabs the spear we are not in a place to judge

Val turns to the man please forgive my friend he is new to Horaema

“No. I am offering you something that you just said you would love to do. Are you backing down on your faith, now?”

Val puts her hand on his shoulder don’t be a fool

I would be honoured, once my time comes

I have not yet trained a successor, if I were to die then Temper would abandon us and Horaema would be destroyed by foul creatures from beyond

“I will not kill an unwilling innocent man. Clearly you are not unwilling. I know the rites for a sacrifice to Horaema and I am offering to perform them with you as the sacrifice if you wish. If you do not wish to serve as the sacrifice, I just ask that you consider the same for this man.”

“Surely there are others who share your faith and are willing to be sacrificed?”

(He’s ignoring you, it’s one of his character traits. Once he sets his mind on a goal, he doesn’t stop.)

Enough of this chit-chat, Temper grows restless

He claps twice, the burly man drops the sacrifice into the sea
