So? Someone who did spam scout mindlessly wouldn’t suffer any downsides for having done so compared to having not used it.
And not getting the results immediately does not invalidate the fact that you used an ability.

What kind of argument is that? Yes if somebody is shit at this game they don’t suffer downsides personally, it just makes the game less fun for everybody involved.
Scout is a fun, strategic, private ability you have to invest in. You have to wait days for anything (if anything happens) - When that something happens you can take action on it.
King point is the opposite, it’s something that mindlessly happens by default and if you don’t do it, you get hanged. It’s limiting to the design space of the game.
And yes, an ability being public and instant should absolutely be accounted for when balancing the game.
Sure but you tried to extrapolate that into a blanket statement. You can’t see that King point is bad for the game and then conclude that all spammable ability’s are bad for the game.
And it certainly isn’t valid to make such a blanket statement and then say any examples to the contrary don’t count.
Note how your claim went from
to: No ability in this game should be a publicly confirmed, instant, non-strategic, day ability that is spamable and without risk all at the same time.
That’s like 5 different qualifiers that weren’t part of the initial claim. At that point just say “no ability should be like King point” instead of trying to make some kind of grand conclusion that doesn’t hold up under scrutiny.
So what about Imprison? There is lots of downside for a spam able ability like that, but hey it’s infinite use.
Too many downsides. Doesn’t qualify as a counter argument
Isn’t your argument that all infinite use abilities should be infinitely no downside usable?
