I don’t understand how you didn’t get a chance. Plenty of players have even talked about mechanics, but you have self-admitted to not reading everything.
If you can make 300 posts, but nothing comes out of it then you’re not using your posts effectively. Can you point me to a game where this would work more successfully, because I’m still skeptical?
If you don’t need the mechanics, why don’t you just do what you do without that foothold? I’m not going to re-ISO you again, but in a vast majority of your ISO I saw you asking questions and defending your way of playing, but you made close to no conclusions or a stance or used those mechanics to further the town win condition. Like town has to talk about who is evil or they can’t execute the right people and find out the motivations of why someone was executed. If you are not doing that, your alignment cannot be ascertained and you can’t help town towards the direction of scum. Basically what I’m saying that you can’t just ask questions, you should also give answers.
How can you have zero idea? It’s not like every player never motivates their reads. There are some sure I outline posts and tell my thoughts on it yes and yes typically one is more likely than another. If you’re not going to try and do this, you’re never going to improve on it. You’ll have to force yourself to take a stance on it, because you can’t stay neutral until the game is over or nearly done.
There aren’t going to be set in stone rules obviously, because mafia evolves and players adapt. It’s not going to be a systematic follow these precise instructions and you will find scum. It’s trial and error.
Just try, be wrong, evaluate why you are wrong and try again. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. I feel like you are basically skipping 3/4th part of the game by not participating in it and missing out.
