Here’s my interpretation.

A status that has been removed can’t effect you on the basis that you don’t have it anymore. Thus soulbound must kill you BEFORE it’s removal.

Therefore when you enter purity with soul bound the order of operations is:

  1. Purity initiates the status effect removal proccess
  2. Soulbound realizes that it’s about to be removed and kills the player
  3. Soulbound is removed
  4. Purity completes the status effect removal process

Thus if you are healthy or the saint then you will tank the death during step 2 of this process with the status effect being removed in step 3.

I can confirm. Marl told me the false death room was Death 1 right after announcing the rooms yesterday when I asked about it. He didn’t want me telling anyone though so I promised to keep it a secret until he revealed it.

The only status lost in Purity was @Silviu200530 's cultist status.

With Silviu freed from the cult and datbird, the cult leader, dead, no further cult rooms will appear!
