There is nothing which states that only one person can commit suicide, and even if there was, Marshal technically didn’t commit suicide.
Plus, there is no telling that Wazza wouldn’t plan commiting suicide after being inspired by Marshal’s “gamer move”.
Yeah, but have you talked with Wazza a lot?
Do you remember when he was stabbed?
Do you remember how he lied about “not knowing he was stabbed”?
Do you remember what he did instead of healing himself?

Danganronpa is all about hope and despair.
If one falls into despair low enough, they will eventually just try to end it all quickly so they don’t have to think about anything anymore.

Yeah? Guess what? Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc’s original goal was “survive” and look what happened there.
The point of the theme “despair” is to literally forget about the goal; to act and behave irrationally because someone could not cope with the situation.

This is ultimately designed as a game using the mechanics and setting of danganronpa rather than as a 1:1 match for it
They appeared suddenly out of hiding in chapter 1 in the warehouse. I assume now they came out of the secret passageway
i for one am much in favor of doing things outside of wincon if it’s fitting
though I come from a place where games like DR and VLDR include roleplaying, so
I’m not discounting your theory, which is why I unvoted
But the question lies therein: “how can either theory be validated”
While mine can’t be validated since Wazza is dead, you can validate whether Jane is the Blackened or not by pressing on the matter of the Incinerator and the hidden passage.
(The last one is a bonus though.)
