Ultimately it’s up to the players to decide if getting briged is worth saving one morale.
To get out of the brig once sent there, you must pass a DC 7 skill check based in Yellow (Politics) and Purple (Tactics). Two cards from the Destiny Deck will be added in and then all players will contribute, same as a crisis card skill check.
Ignore me; all skill checks are resolved with all players and the destiny deck contributing.
So it would cost one player’s action to try to escape the brig with the skill check, but everyone can contribute.
DC 7 to escape the brig.
With yellow and purple helping and the other four hurting.

Skill check contributions are always resolved starting with the previous player than the current player and progressing backwards player order wise, finishing with the current player. Each player will reveal how many cards they add into the check when they contribute but not what cards or what colors of cards, and it will not be revealed who contributed what or which two cards came from the Destiny Deck.
Treachery cards hurt every skill check.
The destiny deck will be replaced once it is emptied, after six skill checks.
