Only two of the four demons have the power to make townsfolk info false, No Dashii and Vortox. No minions in this version have the ability to make townsfolk info false.

Since Vortox ensures that all information is false for the entire game, if the artist asks if theyā€™re the artist with their question and get a response of ā€œyesā€, they know that there is no Vortox in play.

In S&V, town will have a lot of mechanical info.
But a lot of that info cannot be trusted.

Vortox can be nasty. Not only does vortox guarantee that all information is false, but if a vortox is alive and a day passes without an execution, evil wins instantly.

All the demons mess with information in distinctly different ways.
At the core of S&V for the good team is a puzzle; a puzzle to figure out which kind of demon demon is the demon in play.

If good figures out which demon is in play in time, they have a pretty good chance of winning the game. If not, not so much.

But yes, if good tries to rely on mechanics alone, they will lose. Still, itā€™s good to use a healthy mix of mech and deduction.

In this game, if you ever no lynch and the demon is Vortox, the game ends and evil wins instantly.

So until you know thereā€™s not a Vortox (if there isnā€™t one, that is), you need to lynch every day just in case.

Okay, so itā€™s a BMR round. Italyā€™s the Lunatic, which is an Outsider that thinks theyā€™re the Demon
This comes complete with being shown ā€œMinionsā€ and being given ā€œout-of-playā€ bluffs (those are in quotes because the information is totally arbitrary)
Italy is shown the actual Demon and the Grandmother as his Minions
Grandmother is a character that gets starting info and then isnā€™t terribly useful, so a lot of towns policy lynch Grandmother D1
This Grandmother nominates themselves for execution D1 and gets executed by a wide margin
Italy wonders why his minion just suicided
Asks the Grandmother what Minion they are, thus hard outing himself as Lunatic to the Grandmother
Grandmother thinks heā€™s trolling, and tells him theyā€™re the Evil Twin (that minion is not in BMR)
Italy believes this and asks who the good twin is
Grandmother proceeds to DM the Storyteller (me) and ask if Italyā€™s trolling because they canā€™t believe that Italy thinks theyā€™re the real Evil Twin
