Also, people have never said that they’ll drink hot sauce if they themselves are evil. Only if other people are evil. That’s two completely different things.
In both scenarios, it’s ‘if [x] is evil, I’ll chug hotsauce.’ Therefore, the only change is the value of [x], which is an interchangeable variable anyway.
There’s a world of difference between saying that you’ll chug hot sauce if someone else is evil and that you’ll chug hot sauce if you’re evil. The latter is just as good as showing your role card to prove that you’re town because very few if any evils would say that they’ll chug hot sauce if they’re evil.
Which is why they’d say it.
Like claiming evil as evil, because very few evils would do it.
Then twist the meaning.
I’ll chug hotsauce if, and only if, Light is actually not the demon and it therefore costs me a win.
And I will say that. If I’m wrong about Light and it costs me a win, I’ll chug a bottle of hot sauce and videotape myself doing so.
