And you’re welcome to try and mindgame the host, but I reserve the right to subvert your expectations precisely to thwart those efforts.
i thought this didnt happen and you just randed which demon was in the game
I remember discussion about manually choosing which townsfolk would not be in the game
I barred three of the thirteen townsfolk, and randed the seven Townsfolk that were present in the game from the remaining ten. It was a damn shame too, we lost Philo, Juggler and SC on the rand.
so you randed the minions and outsiders as well?
iirc outsiders weren’t randed at all and only barber + mutant was the choice that was left
I randed Minions, and I really shouldn’t have. As I said, the evil team was hamstringing each other. We had
The evil Bishop, who stopped any players from nominating,
The Witch, who couldn’t get any kills because people weren’t nominating,
The Vortox, who won the game if no one was executed,
and The Cerenovus, which, as you demonstrated, gave some lucky soul a means to force an execution to stop a Vortox win.
Outsiders weren’t randed, because Sweetheart would do nothing for the gamestate when every good player was already getting false information and Klutz presented the risk of a slanker costing good the game.
EFG was messier than the usual for Sects and Violets, and I attribute that at least partially to the fact that the setup was mostly randed. I’m going back to the old way.
thank you. i will not try to meta the host in any way
my only concern is that if this game is different from the standard clocktower setup in any way, it’s important to know how
it’s back to normal now tho so we good.
/in at seat 6
I’m slightly concerned about multitabling, but here we go it’s not like I’ve got much going on during quarantine so I can probably tryhard.
Please only the hosts edit the OP

although i dont see anyone brand new to this game format in the op (except maybe cloned), everyone here, to the best of my knowledge, besides me, arete, and possibly amelia / apprentice, has zero experience with this rolelist. let me reitarate the following things:
- Information is sparce, and death is everywhere. this makes this system noticably harder for good to win and noticably worse to focus the bront of things on mechsolve progress than botf 1 or 2’s setups. The only abilities that provide any reliable information come with extreme costs (grandmother, gambler, et cetera). From my experience, it’s a lot easier for scum to steamroll this version of the game with decent mechanical luck than any other version of the game because death comes so often and so fast, which makes trying to prioritize social reads more important than ever.
- unlike botf 1 and 2, it’s impossible to know when mylo or lylo is. So, so much death means it’s possible for less or a good amount more than 1 person to die in a single night. Lots of town and scum abilities can cause death at night.
- Lynching the demon doesn’t necessarily end the game. See mastermind and zombuul, and ping me with any confusions.
- unlike any other version of this game, players who are executed might survive. See pacifist and devil’s advocate, ping me with any questions.
- It’s possible for dead players to come back to life. See professor and shabbolath, again ping me with any confusions.
- it’s custom for multiple people to fake claim gossip multiple days to try to hide the real gossip statement.
this reminds me that it’s custom for multiple people to fake claim jugg day 1 in s&v. this didn’t happen in EFG tho because i forgot even though the game was after dcon. Lul.
