(Misc) Blood on the Forums III: Moonlight Badness Signups (14/15) (Signups Closed)

the game does NOT end at parity.

it does not necessarily end at parity
it can, but not because parity means anything special here, and it doesnt have to

There are 3 Minions now that I have joined, so unless the randing process is rigged, there is a 25% chance the Godfather won’t appear.

If @N.1 is saying the truth about the Storyteller being able to choose whether to add or remove 1 Outsider, then there could potentially be a maximum of one Outsider.
(lol. Imagine negative one Outsider.)

  • Since there is no list-altering role in this setup, would it mean that if one (and only one) of the Tea Lady’s neighbor is evil, that the other neighbor will be forever vulnerable from attacks?
  • …does this ability work post-mortem?
  • Is there a limit of how many players are malfunctioning?
  • Is the amount of initial malfunctioning players public?

If one of the Tea Lady’s living neighbors is evil, then her ability has no effect (because she does not have two living good neighbors) and neither neighbor is protected. Recall that Tea Lady’s ability only checks her living neighbors.

Abilities do not work post-mortem unless specifically stated to do so. This was actually covered in the OP, grumble at you for not reading OP.

There is a practical limit based on how many abilities are present that can possibly cause malfunction; since all abilities that can cause malfunction are made clear in the OP, you should be able to calculate that for yourself.

No, because making that information public would indicate how many characters that could cause malfunction are present. If any effects outside of character abilities that could cause malfunctions were present, however, they would be made known to the players.

Ah. Right.

Forgot about it. My bad.

Humu. Okay.

…hm? Are you telling me that nobody starts with a malfunctioning ability, and that they are only able to be caused by another player’s ability?
If that’s the case, then I won’t have to be super-paranoid about them.

Hm… I suppose only these three can’t be malfunctioning.

“She/Her (yes, there are girls on the Internet)”
I chuckled.

I call bullshit

Those three can definitely malfunction, Zone. No one’s inherently immune to malfunctions. The question is what the malfunction does to them.

Ah… Grandmother doesn’t die, Godfather doesn’t kill, and Lunatic… receives a false feedback, I assume?

I don’t really bother about those. It’s the information that cannot be faked, since they are told at the start of the game.

Bold of you to assume that there’s no way to make someone malfunction on N1…

when does game start

gimme card

is it too late to tell you blue that this game is nightstart

Unless you mean to say that the information Grandmother and Godfather receives is scheduled to be given at the End of Night 1, then it is indeed impossible for them to malfunction at Night 1.

As for Lunatic… yeah, no. That one is impossible to malfunction.

In general nights are processed in this order:

  1. Characters who can make others malfunction
  2. Kills
  3. Information Gathering

and they all resolve immediately meaning if you’re killed you can’t gather information, and that malfunctions will apply to basically everyone

why are we talking about making @N.1 malfunction

what is a

‘nightstart’

oh wait does it start at night

bigth brain

Because he’s Channel-Mastered

(I can make that joke because Channel-Master isn’t present for this game, so it’s obviously false)
