yeah see i’m basically like that all the time, so i can relate
But we’re in the same time zone and you’re telling me to sleep
Yes because a beautiful kitten needs their beauty sleepppp
Eh
6 hours is good
Although I didn’t get that last night cause of my parents
Tell them by the order or the North Pole, Katze must get a mandatory amount of 8 hours of sleep undisturbed.
*of not or. Why auto correct whyyy
for example at this very second I’m currently hyperactively reviewing the whole of Greek mythohistory to find classical references for Marshal and Derps’ next FM game, which is quite distracting and difficult even if I know uhhh
a lot about greek mythology. A lot of concepts don’t translate neatly into werewolf roles.
You word this like you didn’t basically ask to do it
Also depends on the sources for Greek Mythology and history. I find sources that contradict themselves a lot or simply reimagining of certain mythologies. Doesn’t help the Romans also took over at some point
okay so maybe I did literally ask to do it and maybe i absolutely adore this task? that doesn’t mean it’s not distracting.
Are you focusing on Greek Mythology or Greek history?
8 hours is a lot
College taught me that I do well with 6
But I am planning on sleeping very soon (if the fact I’m on mobile didn’t make that obvious) so I suppose your wish will be granted
I doubt I’ll get 8 hours
i’m hotter on the mythology but the thing is that at some point the myths start describing mythologised versions of Mycanean Greece
You must get hours. The great polar bears say soooo
It’s almost impossible to avoid describing somebody who actually existed when you start getting into great kings in the tales of Mycenae and its’ surrounding kingdoms. That’s why I tend to err on the side of caution and describe myths in the Mycanean era as mythohistory, since while Hercules obviously didn’t do twelve incredibly stupid and escalatingly fantastical tasks, we have no guarentee that the cowardly King Eurystheus was also completely fabricated.
Really, the divide between Hellenic and Mycanean Greece is quite fascinating, because the Hellenic Greeks, which is where we get most of our information about the mythology from due to their habit of writing down their oral history and mytths, is quite fascinating, especially since the entire power structures of the gods appear to be different in the Mycanean version of the familliar pantheon.
But enough of me infodumping about my special interest in the game thread, I have wolves to catch.
And if you are doing the research for Greek mythology, I would just stick to a specific part than try to summarize the entirety of Greek myth history. The reason for this is that like you said, certain stories or myths can’t be accounted for due to the divide between each era. That’s how I would go about it anyway
Its 6 ammmmm
I don’t need to do research when I perfectly remember at least half of the myths already.
