Fun fact about this, it is intentionally vague on what counts as trying to convince others you are the mutant, so it can include anything that tries to transfer said information, including softs, strategic fake claim and anything else

@Tangeld What does Registering mean? I see Spy and Recluse have this effect… What does that do?

It means that (while they are actually evil (if Spy) or good (if Recluse)), and win with that faction, they can show up to investigative abilities as the opposite, or be affected by abilities as if they were the opposite. For instance, the Spy could show up as the Saint to the Librarian, or a Fortune Teller who checks a Recluse could get a ping, or a Slayer could shoot the Recluse and they could die.
