All of those are pretty good abilities, why waste it and kill your self day 1 before you barely got to use it?
I feel like Light has better ways of getting into the towncore than “Lmao I’m wicked, kill me now”

Because death doesn’t matter in this game? Considering this is my MO a lot when I play Clocktower, light is never gonna be considered town because of this play if this is like his 50th game or something.
Sigh
I take things seriously. You will get used to me
Shrug.
I mean I still think those abilities are worth a while to keep instead of throwing them away.
Either way, according to what you’re thinking I guess, whoever claims Cheiftain is probably Demon.
Well, what now?
I still don’t believe Light would do an act like this.
I mean yeah I don’t think it either.
Either way, we’re still killing him anyways, so minion or Wicked, it 100% benefits us
Oh yeah I’ll do this in the meantime.
/whisper Light
Yeah lol I’m pretty obvious town in just about all of my games
If I really wanted people to read me town, I’d have said nothing and ended up being scum.
I’m in class, so… not right now.
Ok accept it when you can.
Also why has Tan been typing something for 2 hours
I should know better than to try and sleep in in the middle of a game.
Using a self-meta? Nah. Meta-reads are already a gray area for me, and it’s markedly worse when someone brings up their own meta, because if they’re already that aware of it, it’s presumably very easy for them to adjust their in-game behavior to match this expected meta. So your inactivity becomes NAI at best, but now I’m concerned with the fact that you’re pulling out self-metas, because as mentioned, that to me reads as “I’m aware of my own behavior enough that I can reasonably play into it.” This has done nothing to change my view on your slot, only change the reasons why I hold that view. Okay, I typed that whole section, scrolled down further, and realized that Ghana already made basically this exact same observation. That… Not sure how to feel about that.
(I also realized that Ghana touched on this, but I think that my take on it has more substance, so I’m not going to give people a reason to skip over it by crossing it out.)
This… This bothers me slightly more than it would normally, because you’re not only displaying a lack of understanding of the game rules (not normally a tell from someone new to the format), you’re doing so to try and discredit information on your slot, and especially trying to make a call on the Demon D1 by doing so (you have exactly one way to make this last part not sketchy to me; not telling you what that is, good luck). It feels like you’re trying to offset TMI by professing ignorance of game mechanics. Maybe if these had happened in separate posts, it’d be okay.
Remember when I mentioned people knowing their own metas and factoring them into their playstyle in a given game? If you don’t the above quote is a fabulous example of that concept.
This kicks off a whole pointless back-and-forth between Magnus and Light, that makes me a little sus of Magnus because I can’t imagine why town would let it go on this long or be as weirdly confusing about it as Magnus is.
I’m assuming that number is arbitrary. Offhandedly, I think Light’s number is… fifteen to twenty? Admittedly, I’m not in the mood to run back through every game of Clocktower that I know Light’s played, but I’d say he has a solid enough grasp of game workings. He was also in BotF III, if you want to read up on that game to get an idea of how he plays (he was scum that game, Godfather to be precise).

Viceroy’s ability to see the Grimoire is almost always more helpful than their making their bottom neighbor malfunction, particularly if their bottom neighbor is one that doesn’t actually get info, or one like Poacher that only fires once. They’d probably see more use out of getting themselves a reason to talk to everyone (including the Demon), so what Light’s doing actually makes perfect sense as a Viceroy play. The Secondhand doing it is… a little weirder, but it’s not unreasonable if they don’t think bloodying is terribly helpful (consistently killing Clockhands makes it kind of obvious where Demon is, so Secondhands aren’t going to want to do that), which might give us a little bit of evils’ TMI; either Secondhand might know there’s not a Wendigo for them to chain with, or they just think that they’re not going to be terribly helpful against a Warrior or Medicine Man (who can completely negate Secondhand’s ability to bleed people) in play. Remember, Intensify, Minions don’t have to live, and dying can actually be a benefit to them if they do it right.
deep breath Wallpost over. And that wasn’t two hours… more like an hour fifteen. Gotta read the things I’m posting about, after all.
ok
Wait hold on say if they are the Viceroy, they would already have all the information they need? I don’t see why they would try to get everyone’s claim
And I’m once again telling you that different people exist. wow
And time to get sleepy.
Goodnight.
And you need Atua in your life
Tips with Angie
Viceroy doesn’t need everyone’s claims if they already have the Grimoire, they just need a reason to be talking to everyone, and getting everyone’s claims gives them a reason to be talking to everyone.

Ah ok thanks. If this was like his second game or something I’d be fine with giving him more towncred. But I think he knows enough about the game to do this sort of play as a minion
