[Misc] Blood on the Forums V: Ides of Blood - Good Wins!

Not sure about everyone else, but I feel that I should be able to whisper whenever I want.

You may still whisper right now

@PokemonKidRyan how do u vote

I bet he votes Light but not Silviu, that’s my prediction.
My prediction is rendered void if pkr sees it before he votes.

It is no longer possible to tie or upheave the votes. Therefore, with that, Light is on the stand to be executed.

(Psst, call for silence among the townspeople, quickly!

(They only need to do that if they’re executing him right now.)

(Wait, aren’t they? I thought the day ended immediately after majority was reached.)

(Voting isn’t quite done by majority, but I get what you’re trying to say. As to the larger point, Storyteller exercises discretion on whether or not they end the day, so they could let it run longer.)

Oh wait, nvm.
No need to think with the rules here.

Credit goes to @Magnus for this beautiful flavor

“So, can anybody explain what exactly is happening here?” Amelia asked as Light and Silvu sat down facing each other on either side of a table. Each of them gave a curt nod as clonedcheese, with a stricken expression on his face, set down a couple of goblets, filled to the tip with black, oily water.
“It’s quite simple, really,” said Eli, who of course was watching the ordeal with a gleeful expression on his face. “The town couldn’t seem to come to a consensus, so of course we had to try something new, something fun . So here we have a poisoned goblet of water. This was my idea, did you know that?”
Eli, ” Amelia said sternly, drifting above the ground as a living spirit, “we don’t interfere, we can’t interfere. All we can do is offer advice sometimes, but as long as it’s inconclusive.”
“Yeah, I’m sorry,” Eli said, not sounding apologetic at all. “But can we at least see this play out?”
Seeing as how Light and Silvu were already sitting down with goblets set before them, Amelia decided that at least once, it was worth entertaining Eli’s foolish ideas.
Light and Silvu both reached forward with trembling hands and grabbed the respective goblets in front of them; nobody among them had been aware of which had been poisoned, except perhaps Eli, judging by his snickering laughter.
Silvu drained the goblet’s liquid and dropped it, letting it roll away in the dirt. Everyone held their breath as the spectators watched to see if [L - he/she/they] would fall over and die, but nothing seemed to happen.
After six minutes, long after the effects of the fast-acting poison should’ve ended his life, Silvu screamed out in excitement, “I live! I live another day!”
Now everyone was staring at Light, who was holding the goblet in a tight grip, as if afraid to let go. “I’m not drinking it,” he decided, throwing down the gauntlet so the oily liquid ran across the ground. There was a collective moan of disappointment from the spectators, except for Eli, who’s smirk only grew.
A moment later, Light yelled out in pain, clawing at his chest before slumping over in the seat. As his ghost rose up into the air in fury, Light demanded, “what did you do? I didn’t drink it!”
Eli burst out laughing and moved towards the discarded goblet. His ghostly fingers couldn’t pick it up, but he pointed at the handle, where there was a sliver of red. “I never said I poisoned the liquid,” he told them all with a bright smile. “I said there was a ‘poisoned goblet of water’.”

Light has been executed! The game continues.
