asking “why would you lie” is fairly obvious; wolves just instinctively shy away from something whenever it’s falsified. never mind if your best play is to stay still, you had just been called out, you can easily get something like that wrong
why bother thunderdoming someone who’s already dead and can’t be the Demon when instead you can claim it’s a Kabal game and move on

if you continued to maintain it was a Seclorum game after Cloned outed as Libertine, you’d be thunderdoming him, whích is a problem because he’s dead, and traditionally thunderdomes are resolved by killing both participants in it. one of them’s already dead, so it would force your execution
