In the interests of ending the game, I don’t think we’ll get a replacement. Just have Troch discard a random card to water hole and pass their turn?

I’d rather replace them with an actual player, but if I don’t get one, I could technically RNG every decision they make.

Well i don’t think it’s reasonable to expect someone to join a game when they are unlikely to win from the position they are in.

Yeah. It’s the last round, so I think it’s fine for you to just make the optimum move from her POV for her to get the most points.

If there’s any aspect where you don’t feel comfortable because you know too much, then you can go with RNG.

@Jane Should we ping the “Ping for backups if none are waiting” section from the ping list? Maybe ping @Trochilidae one last time?

The thing is, unless the replacement has actually played Evolution before, they probably won’t be in a good position to make good choices just from skimming through the basic instructions.

And really it’s just this one turn to decide on how to apply the cards. After that, things will most likely work out automatically except where carnivores are involved. And even there, there’s probably minimal choices on what would be the best play. So I think it would be fine to let you play it out and then just randomize where it’s questionable.
