its a similar format, and you know roughly how i tend to operate. say i was put in a completely new situation with none of my old tools in a misc. what is the first thing i would do? go for information of where i am and how it works

Claims are useless because Alignments are NAI. Good players can be evil and Evil players can be good. How the latter works is beyond me, but we will find that out post-game.
