I put that reminder up there because I myself haven’t yet played in a trial-less game on the forum yet. So I thought some of the newer players might feel weird when someone gets hammered and the day ends.

There are several trialless games here some of which currently going.

Trials are pretty much unique to ToL and ToLesque games FoL etc.

Many mafia sites don’t feature a “trial”.

Well yeah, all the “turbo” games like ToL, ToS and such include a trial so that someone may have a moment to defend themselves and maybe, just maybe, change the players’ opinion of them

Yes. Agreed. CITJR and other formats like mountainous don’t feature trials. L-1 is generally a warning and acts kind of similar to a trial in which players claim if needed.

If the vote is at 3/5, someone votes and makes it 4/5, someone else (maybe mafia?) can instantly follow with a fifth vote to hammer before the person can react though? Or is the game stopped for a second at L-1?

They can however that gets looked at really unfavorably the next day. It’s not stopped for a second no.

See here where this setup was ran. It’s pretty much always active. There may be a brief twilight for official day end/start but other than that nada.

To answer your question is that if a scum is demoralized and a mod posting a random meme or gif gives them hope or encourages them then you’ve altered their mental state. A mental state that is the only thing town has to go off of. The literal only thing for reads is interactions. Posting in active players PTs has to be done to a bare minimum. Ideally the only thing we post are vote counts.
