good grief, this will be a chore, but so far (as of post 400) I have Vulgard W, Elph W, I don’t know about Chloe, and my slot didn’t like YBW at this point.

Five-Star Men has continually ignored any chance they have had to directly dig into my slot and interact with it naturally
They have ignored my attempts to interact with the slot directly, to see how they break down an idea into logic then into conclusion.
They have taken up a distant perspective regarding my slot that has wholesale discarded nuance or evidence to the contrary to create a narrative against my slot.
I simply can’t see what other people see regarding the slot.
The way they build reads I feel continually ignores nuance in favor of the application of meta or pidgeonholing slots into archetypes
Only in their handling of our slot have I seen serious variation regarding how the case was built
And from this I can’t, in good faith, say that they are really engaging with the game from truly unique perspectives.
Unlike a watch maker, the overall macro play of Five-Star Men is rigid and constructed in such a way that they are pushing plans for later on thread on d1, like they are planning to die eventually
From this, I needed to put the pieces in place regarding their play
If it lines up well, then it’s probably a wolf
If not, then this is just a case of an experienced player championing the same flag that has helped them in the past now
The most important points for me are:
pushing my slot, appearing to be setting it up for a d2 kill
pushing thread around regarding blue and naezono (particularly naezono)
handling of counterwagons (megalodon proposition?)
if this slot is a wolf, it dies d3-d4 and is very unlikely to endgame given reputation
The biggest thing for this slot’s favor fmpov is in regards to trying to stop blue from becoming a counterwagon to ww
It doesn’t line up well either way (blue being town or blue being scum) from a perspective of a wolf who knows that they are going to die d3-d4
(blue town worlds) slot not becoming a counterwagon prevents ww from making it through the day and potentially finding a way to turn the slot around.
(blue scum worlds) once five-star dies, blue gets a lot of eyes if it doesn’t start making good ground. Play could make sense technically if blue was pr but still not a great move still since the earlier point still stands.
You could always throw the catch-all ‘everyone would notice that they should know better’ for blue town worlds, but I don’t really like using BoP arguments
The nudges around in thread are mostly centralized regarding interest in butter
I’m mostly going to focus on butter since I think that’s the most interesting thing they’ve done this game
In their play, they’ve clashed pretty hard with ayaya regarding the slot (of whom I see as one of two other dominant voices in thread) in a way that I think is noteworthy and could be explained by preflipping, but I don’t like preflipping that’s as extended as what that would entail
I’ll end the thought with ‘I think that particular interaction could be spun multiple ways depending on how you look at their macro play’
pushing my slot still feels really bad considering it again and I think can be interlocked with any of the other points

But I’ll say that I don’t really get their play in general regarding counterwagons and it felt awkward as a result
it vaguely reminded me of tbe back on fol and their constant attempts to create almost pointless counterwagons
I think you can make a case where this slot is a wolf without having to worldbuild too hard
Blue/Ayaya/Butter are pretty important flips for really reading this slot
Because their interactions with this slot feel the most uncertain
