“How are some bags of bones gonna harm me?” Lance sneers.
Kai heaves a sigh of relief.
Arthas breathes deeply.
“Good thing there isn’t any scales…”
“But someone riding a dragon? Is that possible?”
"Um… from the skeletons army, I think the one occupying this city are undead, " Alvine nervously raps his finger on a mirror.
"Undead are like monsters, but scarier. Some can use death related magic, and some species are very strong as well. Maybe stronger than their life counterpart, " he says before hesitating.
"T-that’s what Dyne said. So the bone dragon can’t be weak either. "
“If the bones are as strong as the scales… Most things will not be able to scratch it.”
The dragon of only bones has no organs… No weak points… Urgh!
“But if it is only a reanimation, theoratically killing or disabling the source should stop it. Right?” Arthas points out.
"Um… depends. I’m still studying magic, but some undead happens naturally and has a life force of its own, while others are dependent on the animator. "
"And so, based on the informations we have, the enemy outnumbers us greatly, possesses unknown power, and may or may not be on another whole level in term of defense, " Dragon surmises.
Alvine nods vigorously. That sounds like a good summary. One that will make him run as far as he can from the enemy.
"Isn’t that why it’s fun? Who’s up for a bit of hit-and-run with no clear benefit for our small group before we continue our journey? "
Uh oh. Alvine tries to take a step backward.
"Naturally, Alvine will lead the way for us. " he freezes midstep. Dragon turns his head and gives him a smile. One he often sees when Dragon prepares to blow the head of someone that irritates him to bits.
“Y-yes.”
the girl jumps down behind Alvine I save your life and you go and be rude how charming.
“Ah. Who’s this?” Kai asks. “You look like a friend!”
Arthas, stands stupefied, frozen in place.
“B-but you said I’m on my own once I get outside…” he takes a step away from the girl.
“True…” Triage fiddles with his phone again and dial a number.
"Hello, 911? I want to report a robbery. "
“W-well, there’s Smuggler Cove to the south when you reach the coastline. The Holy Capital is to the east but it’s a bit far from here… and maybe Leafpoint just near the mountain range?”
“U-um…” Alvine hesitates. He takes a glance at Dragon.
"I don’t think that’s your business, is it? " Dragon says amiably.
