“Definitely. This girl has an affinity for light magic. The bard has more of a support affinity, while the kitten…” Eleanor sighs.
“I forgot to ask. Are you under Lady Dinara?”
“Huh. I, um…yeah. Well, it was a pleasure to see you, um…I…gotta go…study that magic…uhh…yeah, cya.”
He quickly ran off, almost tripping on a root as he got out of the church. “I need to hurry if I want to organize my next concert, figure out how my magic works and prepare an escape incase the undead problem gets out of hand…”
“Oh, no, not that kind of trouble. It’s more like… money trouble? I received early payment to recruit certain people, but if I fail, I need to return it, see”
Erin reads the first page.
Er: Magic is an essence in all living things. It resides within the plants , the animals , the creatures , and you. One does not simply “learn” magic. You must experience it , and an emotion must be evoked to start its usage.
Erin spends the next few minutes studying the first few pages.
“Then… who sent you here?” Her face leaking traces of confusion.
“I don’t know of anyone who would want to hire my services privately.”
Skyla didn’t waste time opening the book, reading it while he made his way back into his house. He was a quick learner and blazed through the parts that didn’t interest him.
