It’s a general VC rule. On a town d1 mislynch take the wagon and divide it in thirds (or close to it) and examine all of the players there. At least one if not more are scum or need pressure to explain. It can well be all town but usually not. Then you look at motivation and compare between then and now.

Alice’s continuity is very much off as she has said Sam is scummy yet pushed Maximus instead. She just said it once and let it go. Despite multiple people doing so and her saying she should be policy shot.
It’s more learn by experience it’s about finding the narrative. Which is done by looking at VCs then seeing if you can see who interacts with who
I am like a sorcerer in that regard it’s easier to see than explain. In general I end up either finding all scum or all town that way

This is generally a scumtell. When scum knows someone is town and doing something stupid they don’t want to be on the lynch.
