Official Noble Rework

Damn it, he’s right. With the ability to read whispers and recieve others’ feedback, Noble does become a primarily Investigative role.

It may not be strictly necessary to change its class type, but it is something to think about. Especially since we already have a lot of investigative classes.

This is also probably a good idea, at least for the Aristocrat. As the Cult is supposed to be short-lived and disposable, I’d leave it to limited uses.

All in all I don’t think I’ve ever seen this concept before

Getting your target’s night results is thrown around a bit, but getting the results of those who visit your target is such a unique and interesting take on that mechanic that is also probably better for the game. I like it. :+1:

(Just make sure that Illusionist messes with the result - maybe you see a Sheriff getting a Guilty check, or an Observer getting a Unseen result? Although, those two messages should probably just be made the exact same if this goes live.)

Wait would Noble get observer’s feedback too? I.e. X visited Y, Y visited Z?

Huh, so im not the only one who likes when people blindy lynch someone.

It’s moreso that if every class were as hard to confirm as Knight, Court Wizard, and Princess, than none of them would be claims you instantly lynch, unless you planned to lynch every Blue Dragon role for no reason beyond their claim.

If you’re talking about me, then don’t worry im completely against that sort of things as well. As you probably know, that happens a lot which is frustrating for a player who just got class like Knight,Court Wizard or Princess and just get hanged because “X claim LUL ez exe”. Just saying, i hope that wouldn’t happen same with Noble.

In late game when there is like 6 BD members found dead then you always should put people who didn’t claimed and if you found out a scumy claim like Sheriff/Paladin, would you believe him? Probably not since he seems to be untrustworthy and he didn’t found anyone. If that the case then “lynching every BD claim” is completely justifed.

@Vandalay you explain this better than I do

If you lynch every BD claim then every BD gets lynched which is a BD loss.

lol, ok well if I’m interpreting what you are wanting of my explanations XD.

Lets give some hypothetical final 5 scenerio’s. There is only an assasain left. You are the prince

Scenerio 1. Claims
Prince
Physician
Observer
Mystic
Drunk.

The mystic can vouch for being redirected last night… so the drunk is in the clear. He also telepethied so you can safely assume he’s good. Prince is unopposed in his claim and in this scenerio you are the prince, so you can rule him out. The observers log shows an unnanounced visit the drunk had made on n3. No detective work needed here…

Scenerio 2.
Phys
CW
knight
sheriff
prince

You can pretty clearly see, in this scenerio… you are probably sweating a heck of a lot harder than in the previous example. You can hope the phys has succesfully healed someone… but odds are you are actually going to have to work with the players behavior to try and solve this one.

Scenario 2 seems like it’s doable. If the CW has confirmed swaps, jail and exe sheriff, have phys heal you and have the Knight cs the phys. If not, then swap CW and sheriff. It’s only a loss if the person you don’t jail is the fake claim and they kill the phys.

my point was the chain of difficulty, in situation 2. we’ll say the CW’s swaps are not confirmed (I do agree CW is a bit too confirmable still with swapping, that’s the current problem with the game in it’s current state… it’s hard to find 4 frickin classes that wouldn’t be expected to be confirmed by this point in the game)

Okay let’s be clear here. I just said i would avoid adding a Noble to a “Class that would be executed no matter what” . @orangeandblack5 didn’t agree with me and then the discussion goes up. I got his point and that’s it. Anyway thanks for effort.

If we assume everyone would be dumb enough to lynch random without a question everytime then yes i guess you’re right. I never said i would lynch every BD claim no matter what. :man_shrugging:

Kay we are now lynching the prince on sites

May be the assassin fake claiming it

Funny enough, the Prince is actually good fake claim for Assassin, in case Sheriff would expose you as Unseen. And waste a night for The Prince before Day 3.

Maybe you can even get the sheriff hung
