“I-I d-don’t care. I-I’ve had w-worse” his sentence trails off, leaving him saying something inaudible
“Ah, you’ve had worse? Well no need to worry about that then, Yukes. I might come across as a bit of a hard-head but like I say, really I’m soft inside. Like a, uh, like an old jam doughnut.”
Finch laughs at his silly simile.
“I oughta work on my daft jokes and anecdotes.”
“There we go, you see? You’re integrating! I think you’ll fit along just fine in this merry band of adventurers. Plus, I finally found someone that likes my dopey little jokes. Can’t really get better than that!”
Ruri frantically fiddles with her headset.
“C’mon, c’mon… gosh, I’m so late! Everyone’s gonna get so much farther than me!”
Once she’s finally able to get her headgear online, she slings it overtop her head and rushes to get signed in. Spawning into the game, she quite literally hits the ground running towards whatever enemies she can find - clearly eager to get started.
“Ah, no hope needed. You’re a good person, Yukes. I can sense it. You just need a little time to get used to things.”
Finch looks at the sword in his hand.
“One day I might even take you up on that duel, but er… I’d rather get my levels up first.”
(You finna need to go to the starter’s shop and buy shit, I’m sure you can figure a way to do that interaction without actually having to speak to the shopkeeper)

Spade notices a loud thud as she turns around and sees Ruri. In panic, she rushes over to her “How can someone even fall like that?! Isn’t the standard protocol to pixeltize into the game?”
Finch turns his head to see Spade running off.
“Blimey, something’s going on over there. You wanna investigate as well, Yukes, or do you prefer just sitting back and letting whatever just happened transpire?”"
Finch points towards the running Spade.
“Over there, Madoka.”
Finch looks up at Youko.
“I think we’ll sit this one out.”
