No one has been particularly wolfy as I’m catching up (post 200) but I think Surveillance raised a good point about how you were asking a lot of questions rather than providing your own content. You’ve at least done something with the answers to these questions in this post, so it’s a better look for you. However, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it but I’ve realized that you were acting pretty awkwardly at the start of the game. That’s part of why I suspect you, but it’s not really anything concrete.
I’m stealing this read. I can’t really articulate why Surveillance is town, they just are. I guess the best way of describing it is how they are really picking the game apart and are paying a great amount of attention to detail.
Yeah, I have liked Communications so far as well. They speak with the confidence of an inquisitive villager rather than a wolf trying to take control over the thread.
I think Scientist would be more likely to keep his vote in the same place as a wolf, especially in this particular situation (being a wolf with Teleporter). I think he’d be more concerned about looking partnered if this were the case.
I always have the thought that people making this distinction makes them more likely to be lost wolf, but I’m not sure if I’ve ever been correct in practice. It probably doesn’t mean much when it comes down to it.
Why do you want people to vote you? Why is not voting you unsettling?
Yeah, the helicopter thing was pretty creative. His response to criticisms of the wall feels more like a villager frustrated that their reads are being invalidated
I was going to say this, but I wanted him to answer my questions first. Oh well.
Yeah, I still believe this. I get the impression this game is heavily being controlled by villagers.
Anyway this post is getting a little long so I’ll start a new one.
Trapsetter has a number of reads where he asserts exactly how he believes villagers and wolves would respond to certain situations and applies them to make reads, as well as including themselves in the villager example, which is villagery in its own right. Starting reads with “This is how a wolf …” is more likely to come from a villager who remembers how wolves have played in their previous games, like they’re having an epiphany of some sort. Combined with their relaxed response to the tinfoil earlier in the game, I’m pretty sure this slot is town.
You didn’t conclude anything from this event. I get that you may not have been confident, but there must have been something you deduced from this? I do think it’s interesting how quickly everyone seconded the idea that I’m “ML bait” especially since I don’t particularly agree. I think the wolves either didn’t change their thoughts on me (perhaps indicating Facilitator) or didn’t properly evaluate me when changing their stance (Scientist).
Why does this mean you are threadspewed? How would anyone have treated it differently if you were a wolf?
Why would a wolf be defensive and a villager wouldn’t? This is probably more of a playstyle thing, because I can say as a wolf there I wouldn’t have been defensive either.
Everyone laughed at me but several others have actually shared this notion. Plus I believe you only have one scumread at this point, and it’s not even a strong one iirc, so I’m surprised you don’t share this thought.
Huh, I do think it was villagery but this is probably a bit of an exaggeration.
Also in case of a quickhammer happening when im not on (not super likely but can happen) im trapsetting surveillance. Dont visit them or something.
Im a bit sad cuz the ppl i’ve cleared all have the roles i’d consider less important, the best role i consider myself to have cleared is security but them getting n1’d doesnt really matter.
Also fair warning tonight I will be unable to check phone. Expect much more from me in the second half of d1. Don’t hammer anyone, especially not on day 1
I’ve been the head of security on this ship for thirteen years and you strut on here on your first day on the job and think to tell me how to do my job? Watch yourself, punk.
I don’t know if this is some sort of joke but without context this is a pretty awkward opener.
Offhanded comments and a refusal to cooperate. I think in this particular situation if the Security role was given to a wolf they’d be forced to take the stance of “fuck you I’m doing what I want” otherwise they sacrifice all utility they get from the role. Which is why I’m not villagereading this, and in fact I’m doing the opposite.
You’ll be as confirmed town as the coroner is, as if they were mafia they could just lie.
I want you to shoot a wolf as much as you want to shoot a wolf but at the moment i’m wholly unconvinced that you shooting whoever you want to without talking will net a likelier wolf shot than it being leashed by consensus villagers and/or it being in a pool.
