Yeah, that one.
I still don’t know why the “sus” wording has to do with switching typing habits, either, but I did find it a bit weird they tried to attribute it to the playstyle change because usually in a playstyle change you wouldn’t just forget that someone you aren’t townreading could technically be a wolf.
They might not have reached the point where people decided it was actually villagery when they made the initial post. Afterwards they may have realized it wasn’t an actual scumslip and acted accordingly. I don’t think this behaviour is as difficult to fake as you’re making it out to be.
I think even a wolf could honestly do a derp like that and realize they couldn’t latch onto it anymore because they really had misread the post, and act apologetic. It’s not like wolves don’t derp.
To be clear my issue is specifically that they had only read the section of thread when I was widely townread, and had just accepted that I wasn’t a push. By the time they posted I was being pressured but they hadn’t seen that and show that they had dismissed me as a widely townread slot. From my perspective that smells like tmi.
Ok, that explanation actually makes a lot of sense now that you’ve outlined it for me.
Uhhh it’s weird either way but I’m conflicted because I think it likely spews you as not w/w, but I have individual scumreads on both of you (and not as a team).
Not really sure where to go with this, so I’m still giving it thought.
Telly, I’m gonna be real, I don’t think pushing a “scumslip” and later retracting is a good enough look to override how scummy Fac has been otherwise. It’s not unfakeable. I may be tunneled but I just don’t see that as clearing in the slightest.
I agree that it’s not unfakeable, but you’d have to really put yourself deep in the villager mindset in order to think that you’ve caught me based on a perceived slip and then retract it four posts later. I just don’t see the agenda or overarching wolfplan at all from that interaction.
Let me continue reading and catching up; I’ll try to provide a better summation of where I’m at after I finish.
His ISO lacks anything more than level 1 thought which is easily fakeable. Most others have some sort of complexity in a few of their reads. Even though their questions are useful, I feel like a lot of it is substituted in place of actual content.
Like if I’m a wolf and see another villager “clear” another villager for a supposed town-slip that makes sense in my head cognitively, I don’t barge in there and try to make that supposed townslip a scumslip. I silently wince to myself and then continue trying to play the game. Other people likely have different ways of playing but that’s what I expect wolves would do.
I feel like Comm is a victim of recency bias. Has good posts when they’re here but they’re not here often enough.
