Let’s say every flip so far is a villager. Let’s say we misexecute here, scum manage to kill someone. With 8 players alive, majority would be 5. If, and only if, the sympathizer is still alive, scum would theoretically have 4 votes tomorrow if Officer is scum. If we misexecuted there, scum kill someone else, with 6 players alive, majority would be 4…but wouldn’t have scum won anyway due to the fact that town doesn’t have enough votes in the first place? Does their vote even matter in the first place besides reaching hammer faster?

the problem with executing people for their role (security/officer) is that I’m pretty sure we don’t have the luxury to be wrong that much

Also reminder we don’t need to execute sympathizer to win, however, their existence will be a pain if we don’t execute them. For example, if Officer is sympathizer, that’s such an absurdly strong role if Officer reveals himself at the right time.

Town does have enough votes since Sympathizer can misvote.

Yeah, Officer and Teleporter are strong Sympathizer roles. However, Coroner is probably the strongest objectively, since it allows them to inform Aliens of their identity by lying about flips.

I thought of that, but then realized that sympathizer does not have to vote. Reminder, we lose if time runs out. What incentive is there for sympathizer to vote?

This “hold up wait, I forgot to consider this” feels villagery coming from Student? Like the fact that they were so tunneled on the possibility that the kill got blanked somehow but then only now coming to the conclusion that the wolves and Security could have cross-killed feels real to me.

If you’ve read the entire game, do you have any more substantial thoughts besides what you’ve posted today? Your play today has literally been:

• Saying that you shouldn’t die before you get off your second check
• Still calling Faciliator a villager
• You calling me a wolf for repeating the same thing 4 or 5 times, but not voting me or questioning me about it

I get that you’re busy (and will likely be for the rest of the game) but your Day 1 was underwhelming and you’ve barely contributed much on Day 2. The fact that Facilitator, one of your townreads, is disagreeing with you about your read on me, but you not even taking the time to figure out why that is the case reads as kinda disingenuous to me.

I’m not going to vote you because I think that it is +EV to allow you to get off your second check, but you’re one of my stronger behavioral wolfreads at the moment.

Scientist checking me is so the check is theoretically “safer” from mechanics such as teleporter.

Coroner while I appreciate that you are more active now, it feels like that YOU are coasting to your *own *execution. What the hell are you doing here if you are villager. You know that communications was a villager, and you know you are about to be misexecuted if you are a villager, where’s your villagery spirit or you doing anything to point us in a different direction?

Like, look at what student did. They were scumread, looked like they were going to be executed, then showed up and started saying reasonable and villagery things. Why can’t you replicate that behavior if you are a villager?
