Peasant [Suggestion]

But why do they suck
You have to dodge being lynched / executed / occupied since you are pretty much completely useless for BD

They suck because they are boring.
How would you like to play a class where you literally just visit people until you either die or win?

Because can you live for 5 days?

You can survive, at a cost of making your win harder.

I read around on the Town of Salem guide to making roles and one of their “do nots” was to not suggest roles that essentially equate to “visit people to win” They are boring and uninteresting and will lead to more kingmaker scenes.

Convince me otherwise that v2w classes are good.

I used to play Salem.

Who didn’t

I still do every now and then. My suggestion to rework this class is to maybe not have it be so heavy on the v2w aspect.

Literally just give it a discentive to claim or to out.
It needs to make sure game doesn’t end early and that it doesn’t die

That wouldn’t solve shit.

V2w is really incorrectly labeling it.
Visit to win is defining a role in social deduction by what it mechanically does (how many buttons can I push).

It’s a survivor that actually has to actively do something to win. It will be put in a very bad position if it decides to go mindless claim.
Discentive would fix something because it would have to actively fakeclaim and avoid attention.
Kingmaker scenario solved by making it suicide upon winning.
It’s not boring because you have to play the game actively. Autopilot doesn’t work.

It fixes all of your problems mentioned earlier

Boring - It has to fakeclaim and avoid attention
Uninteresting - This is purely subjective, but role that must find ways to dodge disruption effects and the lynch is a very simple role that doesn’t break the balance of the game in two due to swing.
Kingmaker - Literally just make it suicide upon winning. It’s a very simple fix.

Hmm… so it can’t win if it lives?

It means $5 by your death/game ends.
