Interestingly enough, the character has died four times. (Reset doesn’t count)
It seems to have been broken by a pickaxe.
On it’s grave is said:

Odd how the reset didn’t undo it.

The Metal Machine is a rectangular box with blue panels on top, speakers on it’s back and a display in front.
A button can be seen at it’s bottom.
It looks similar to the destroyed machine at the Graveyard.
