Connor answered honestly, “Well I don’t know who the hell you are. And this kid here, I had trouble with him at the community kitchen, it’s Alex or something, I didn’t hear much.”
- The kid looked at Sammy, eyebrows raised. He examined the forms. “Samuel Lake?” He nodded to himself. “You’re in Class V. Go wait in the auditorium.”
- “We aren’t your friends!” The kid laughed at Connor. “Who are your friends?”
Connor was confused until he noticed what they meant, he felt incredibly stupid and embarrassed.
“Oh, my mistake… Jack! Connor made the name up as he thought of Sammy
“He’s really cool, we get along well. Why do you need to know all this?”
Connor hoped they would buy the excuse.
“Thanks,” Sammy said as he went to head towards the auditorium. For a moment, he would be able to see Connor, if only he looked to the right.
- “Jack who?” Alec demanded, ignoring your question.
- Sammy was a few meters from the auditorium door.
Connor stood firm, he was getting angry.
“You think I’m stupid? And dont use what just happened as an example… If I tell you you’ll just bully him aswell!”
- Sammy went into the auditorium. The chance was lost. The auditorium had a small stage at the front with rows of chairs extending outwards.
- “I don’t think there is a Jack,” the boy said thoughtfully. Then he snapped out of his reverie. “I guess we’ll just have to bash you then, right?”
“Hey!” A voice shouted from behind Connor.
Connor put his hands in his pockets to conceal the money before turning around, Connor responded to the shout with “Yes? What is it?”
- The newcomer was looking at the two bullies. It was the boy from yesterday, the one with the Pikachu. He was wearing a green jacket with jeans. He had messy brown hair. “Give him back the Psyduck,” he said furiously.
Connor noticed the extremely rare Pokemon. It was a Pikachu!

Connor turned back around.
He didn’t threaten the boys using the newcomer as an excuse, that would just show weakness
Connor faced the 2 boys and firmly said, “Look, were all just trying to get to school, listen to the kid. Give me my Psyduck and we can all be on our Mary way, we’ll all be late to school at this point.”

Sammy took a seat and waited patiently.

Connor bent down to grab his Psyduck, he held him with both hands.
“Thank you. School starts soon, i’d get going, don’t want either of you to be late.” Connor put on a serious face as he said it.
Crazy thing is Connor still somewhat cared about the 2 boys, it’s his personality I guess, although he knew this would be exploited
Connor walked over to the newcomer with Psyduck in his hands.
Connor said “Wait! Can I atleast thank you? I know your probably don’t want you reputation ruined… My name’s Connor!”
Connor put Psyduck down at his side, he folded his application form 2 times and put it into his pocket.
