Q. āBe honest - how confident were you going into that final 1 vs 1 during the first battle?ā
A. "Latias against an Alolian Ninetales is not a good match up. Still, Sheās strong and pulled through for the team as I hope she could.
Q. "You dropped X-mas Tree, your Xurkitree, for the second battle. Why is that?
A. āI just felt like based on what I saw, X-mas Tree wouldnāt be required for the this match.ā
Q. āYou brought in Salazzle for the second battle. What was the thinking behind that?ā
A. "We were up against numerous Fairies and steel types this battle. Her ability to deal and poison both seemed the most useful.
Q. āYou won the second match with still 3 pokemon alive. How much do you attribute that to your sideboarding?ā
A. āI think it helped, but we also fought hard and made better tactical decisions.ā
Q. āEggcellent, the Chansey, saw you home. How do you feel winning in such a fashion?ā
A. āToxic stalling isnāt pretty, but there was no need to do anything else.ā
Q. āYour opponent made several attacks that had no affect on your pokemon. Why do you think that is?ā
A. āPlaying at this level is all about predicting your opponents switches. If you pull it off, you look a genius. Mess up, you look like an idiot.ā
Also even if Celeste is right and I counter her team Iām ready to get fucked by everybody that has ever played more PokĆ©mon than just playing through the games
