Itā€™s probably a banable offense if it is not obvious you faked it. I will admit that I have fixed the punctuation, grammar, etc. in quotes before.

I did slightly dis-rail this thread my apologies. I think it should only be allowed in off-topic and only if it is obvious you are just mucking around (ie clearly a misquote for humour), not genuinely trying to slander someone.

e.g All are misquotes here are obviously jokes, but should probably still not be allowed anywhere other than off-topic or jokey threads.

He is right we probably shouldnā€™t have done it. In my opinion it is fine to do so on clearly memey/jokey/off-topic threads if it is clearly a funny misquote, but should not be overly used on normal threads.
