Actually I wanna add something which you’re totally fine to not follow
I think having a very vast range of flavour is a good thing because then most people can relate to something in the setup
Like I was able to relate to hearthstone in Clown Fiesta but not SCP or whatever

hi hello

would anyone like to co-host a game with me somewhen around Christmas/new years

Dm me thanks

It has very vast range, have you seen how many different batmans there are?

I’m referencing universes (like Hearthstone vs SCP)
i.e that flavour would only be applicable to people who like batman, maybe DC if you were to stretch it
I think the multi-flavour universe in Clown Fiesta was one of the factors that made it a great setup

honestly I don’t actually think that’s a bad thing

I like that osie is actively helpful in the reviewing progress, and I found them very helpful in making the setups I’ve designed fun. And I actually know how to design role madness setups that are fun now

I think both having a hands off and hands on reviewing style are good sometimes but I prefer a more hands on style

My review with Osie wasn’t as bad, its getting close to passing.

I mean it doesnt matter if like u agree or disagree with osies style of reviewing

I dont think the best thing to do after getting your review denied is to write a giant paragraph in the queue putting your reviewer on blast?

Personally I think that the review process is to make sure a game is balanced and enjoyable for those playing it and up to the standards of the site, Refusing to change elements of your game that a reviewer says will get it denied otherwise for not meeting site criteria and then complaining publicly when it is in fact denied is maybe not the mature way to handle things.

I sorta think that if you don’t want your game to be denied for being unbalanced you should listen to the people who are experienced with the balance standards of the site instead of rejecting their advice and then lambasting them in the queue thread.

but thats just me

It’s been denied because i refused to change my game into somrthing completely different to what i proposed, Osieorb18 is not reviewing set ups, he is changing them and when met with resistance, he replies with distasteful attacks to the designers character and rejects the games even though 80% of the changed he demanded where complied.

I got proof!

He threw at my face his 10 years of mafia experience lol like it was some sort of competition of who was a better designer between him and I!

Never in my two decades of mafia gaming have i encountered something like that from a reviewer.

And when i drew the line and refused to make more changes because it was looking like his design and not mine, he rejected the application.

Osie, you are a reviewer, you are not our unsolicited co-designer.

Peace out.

I think you should ask for a different reviewer.

I always thought the point of reviewers was to make sure they were no blatant imbalances/ways to break a setup and to reduce heavy swing, not to change all games to fit a single format.

The whole point of rolemadness/mash type setups is for games that will never be 100% balanced but are still fun to play, with cool mechanics to boot.

If what you’re saying is true, then I think it best to ask for a different reviewer, or even a team of 3 to make it fair.

The most balanced setups are mountainous. Change my mind.

This is why you should always request datbird

ok for some reason the two queue/submit threads merged

weird

I just moved the posts over. They didnt go in proper order. :man_shrugging:

Dat moved some posts to the right thread

this is why I always ask for Geyde

Ask for me I’m easily bribed

Actually I unironically was on the review team like 3 years ago despite never making setups and having 0 experience lol
