win rates aren’t exactly correlation to skill level

i consider myself good at RTSDGs and would expect to have a >50% winrate

i have currently a ~48% winrate

its almost as if skill dilution exponentially increases the more people you add on a team

Not that I have a problem with wacky in a game with conversion, but personal taste

As Blue Dragon? Overall?

Tend to disagree with a strict winrate analysis
Generally speaking people improve over time so a ‘recent games’ sample might be more useful

Anecdotally do you have a ballpark number for that?

if its exclusively recent games prob >~70% as i haven’t played much so it’s def inflated

the thing I remember hearing is that ‘good’ players, loosely defined, generally have winrates >50 percent and Actually Good players have winrates >53 percent, with anything above 55 being super uncommon

let me go pull my data

In my own personal experience, I ‘think’ I have a 50+ winrate, with a higher one as scum than I do as BD (outside of certain classes)

Without an objective way to judge “best players” how is anyone supposed to make sense of this:

It’s just the best we’ve got and I think it should be okay, unless someone’s first games were exceedingly below average compared to most people’s first games, which would be difficult to recover from.

I predict that you’re wrong about this

The BD winrate as a whole is noticeably higher than the scum winrate (not including neuts)

I mean a wholistic view on winrate
Recent winrate is far more useful
