Ritual Mafia - Congregation Wins

I wouldn’t suggest rerolling again. It could be quite annoying to do the same thing three times in a row

lolwhat
have you read this setup at all
how far has your head been in the clouds to think that it could be wolfsided

  1. wolves can potentially go deep d1 and get a convert off easily
  2. the huge benefits killint hte town gives is worth the lack of a vote, which is incidentally granted to someone else for the rest of the day

I did actually think about the mechanic implications of the setup while reviewing it, I just wasn’t expecting the setup to accidentally cause the wolves to play worse

Thing is, it makes it too damn easy to scumhunt if you’re an experienced town player.

This situation basically creates a situation where scum needs to start creating believe-able reads that can look like it comes from a townie early in the game, while also hiding their motivations during the beginning of the phase. It essentially puts up way too much information in the air that good readers can easily connect the dots and out the scum team without any problems at all.

This is pretty much what happened d1 here and it happened at an even worse magnitude pre-reroll due to Wolfy’s slip allowing town to get a lot of associative reads from it.

although could we save this theory discussion until postgame? We should at least begin to consider the very outside possbility that wolves somehow have a wolf among some townread players, although I doubt they can actually go deep.

Also. I have noticed something.

Sarun was like. We need to tell the host right away if something happened. That basically confirmed that Sarun isn’t scum as he wouldn’t of acted confused.

angleshooting…?

Not really. Marl told us.

It was in the game :man_shrugging:

It’s possible, but extremely unlikely. If they did manage to get a wolf outside the Marg/Solic/Marcus/Pug group we basically have very few other suspects and they’d be found out easily.

He’s relating to Marl’s last posts where he accused PKR and Wolfy of sharing information.

Marl wasn’t that deep among the town bloc, but yeah.

That’s not angle shooting right?

If someone directly said something in game, it’s not angleshooting

Not exactly, as you’re basically gauging my alignment based on my reactions to Marl’s accusations.

Still, there is very few room for a deepwolf to exist here.

  1. Blizer/Pug - Outed scum.
  2. htm - Slight townlean, mechanically confirmed via being a Medium.
  3. Solic - Slight scumlean, best to eliminate if one of Pug/Marcus/Marg flips town.
  4. Firekitten - Slight townlean.
  5. Sam17z - Moderate townlean.
  6. PoisonedSquid - Heavy townlean via backreading Marl and PKR.
  7. Margaret - Outed scum.
  8. Lightsin - Slight townlean.
  9. Luxy - Moderate townlean due to the TvT.
  10. Icibalus - Part of the townbloc.
  11. Sarun - Part of the townbloc.
  12. Vulgard - Part of the townbloc, mechanically confirmed via being a Medium.
  13. PKR/Marcus_Doodalee - Outed scum.
  14. Wolfy - Heavy townlean via backreading PKR, mechanically confirmed via being the Inquisitor.

I suppose, but what I’m really trying to say is this:

  • that argument dosen’t really make sense, it seems logical but it dosen’t quite scan properly
  • Sarun dosen’t need to be proven town, based on the fact that me and Vulgard have repeatedly mindmelded with each other, showing we have the same outlook

What do you mean it doesn’t scan

I too enjoy deliberately attempting to townread innocent children

i mean that Sarun is smart enough to keep his reactions in check if they’re somehow wolf here

Err, I townread him before he outed as Inq, so yeah.
