it kills them and triggers two effects
one of them is a doublevotiser on town and a convert on scum
then it triggers a class-specific effect that is benefical to the faction they’re from which is way more powerful than any other ability

It is also a tradeoff this game. Is it more beneficial to get town sacrifices or is it more beneficial to keep confirmed town alive. Very tricky game this.
