Otherwise, the answer to your question is “yes”. For Marl, they behave totally differently from previous games, and their insistence for a survivor cop check do not come from a Marluxion that is town. They cannot be town.

Honestly, it does make sense he would try and “correct” Marl about the possible cop results if he is a cop himself. It would be more readily on the mind.

I encourage people to not just blindly sheep Marl and make up your own mind, because I think he might genuinely be a Cop. It makes sense he would not want to be on the forefront when he is an investigative. He also referenced something related to the Cop role, before he even had any pressure on him.

Can you clarify this? You can target people and a random other person gets the result that that person is town or not or simply that a amnesiac cop checked someone as town or not? What feedback will you get and what feedback will this other person get? Do you know who the other random person is? Is it always the same other random person?
How is his claim fishy at best? You are simply saying over and over again how scummy he is, but you provide zero arguments for it. Provide some argumentation and you might actually convince me.
And it is not that he claimed simply, it is that his claim makes sense with his actions. He stayed on the background and he made that reference to cop specifics, before he even had any pressure. If he were not a Cop, he would be way less likely to do that.
