Oh I was thinking about Eli, though one point in their favor is that they got onto the Leafia wagon.

Both scum factions need to whittle town numbers down. Early game I’d expect both NSF and Illuminati to have an uneasy alliance.

Basically since Illuminati Leader have access to NSF’s chat. NSF could’ve decided on a faction kill (that happened in Deus Ex 3) and the Illuminati Janitor cleaned the body.
