That’s also why my analysis from town side later was this:

As town it semi makes sense to sell negative abilities, since if you target scum and they rand negative ability, they might buy it.
So if IW as town I would have to plan who I am targeting.

As scum this makes way less sense due to that this role would be meant to get money out of townies. And you can’t get money out of townies if you sell framers to them.

It would be poor role design.

Neither of those is a case, but… your arguments really don’t hold up designwise.
