At that point Mode was a dead man walking dude. He wa the counterwagon and if you read at that time everyone (mostly me acutally, who had actually wanted mode dead the entire time unlike PKR who wanted Evo deda D1) was saying Mode was always dying.
PKR claiming the check means nothing. NOTHING. Mode was gonna be dead regardless.

Add L1ght in there because L1ght/Derps are a faction slot and so is Apprentice/Leaf
So, in this, you have Derps, who I am personally aware is town, Eevee, who is accepted as a neut, and Apprentice, the less scummy half of the Apprentice/Leafie mason. Wonderful. Explanations?
