Clarification: Imagine the reward as an object that is bound to the REDACTED. If a player, who correctly guessed the identity of the REDACTED, were to be killed, then the reward will NOT be passed down onto its killer. Instead, the guess will be nullified and the REDACTED will continue to live.

The “excuse” is: “The reward has to be owned by a living player. It cannot be owned by the dead, nor can it be lost. It can only either be spent, or remain dormant within the REDACTED.”
