I wanted it to be obvious to you without actually softing
and when you called it out the first time I was like ‘…clearly I am failing to make it obvious enough’

in hindsight this may have been a mistake
I accept a fair amount of responsibility for losing LoTR mafia cuz i had the ring and spent most of the game meming and selfpreserving rather than using it to actually kill mafia.
Because these games are few and mech solving is pretty effective
We are on a site with a lot of mechanic heavy games. Claiming is almost always +EV here.
Where did this discussion come from?
And for all the heavy mechanic games people can’t realize an NK by them basically all but outright stating it, I don’t know what to say honestly.
If I was town I would have realized it pretty fast still, investigative neutrals aren’t a thing, the claimed class was way too powerful to be a town role, and the whole thing would likely collapse as I’d be in a better mindset instead of extremely tilted and stressed to properly persuade people. And I wouldn’t get lockscummed as hard.
It’s the meta of this site. Some kinds of mechanics won’t happen unless the host states it. And metagaming the host “they wouldn’t design such a class” is pretty meh
Neutral investigative that tries and gets people to lie about their classes that claims immunity to anti-claim does sound a bit suspicious, but its true that I TMI’d and jumped ahead too much using information I shouldn’t have had. If I had instead waited in patience and started presenting arguments to try and create and fake a townie mindset it might have worked better.
I think the most suspicious thing about Wazza was that Wazza was actively attempting to lie and conceal information, which a legit neutral would have no reason nor risk to do so.
Either Wazza gets strongmanned or is protected by town anyways. And he claims anti-claim immune too
Because it provided result which was catching scum and that is enough for any predictable negative outcome
I mean, lying in FM doesn’t necessarily come from scum, and can be a good play
Maybe, but it requires a motive. A anti-claim immune neutral who is going to be protected anyways doesn’t really have much of a reason to lie, I guess.
well the anticlaim-immune thing was obviously a lie
but the reason people would lie about that is so that scum thinks they’re anticlaim-immune and doesn’t try to waste time on them
Tbh I think noone thinks here that town needs a real reason to lie about their class
I think that if you’re lying as town there should generally be some sort of purpose or reason
i had a reason to lie about my class here.
Maybe, but the lies never escalated to only being able to day invest 3 targets to infinity targets
Which was bad cuz you could have caused second mislynch while achieving nothing
