It kinda feels like Marshal and Magnus screwed up their fakeclaims, making them contradict each other, but thatās a preflip and preflips are bad.
The problem is that literally everything was wrong about your reads, and you were pushing the incorrect outlook without re-evaluating. The relative tunnelvision and several scummy moves Iāve listed make me think your rolecard is Horde. I just find it difficult a town member would do all of these things. Itās like falling into every pitfall imaginable.

I donāt think you would get random occed, so it does seem likely Marshal was protected in some way. But Marshal wasnāt a very good protection target. He wouldnāt get nightkilled unless he was right about somethingā¦ but in hindsight, we know that he very likely wasnāt.
The thing is, I donāt think there was a nightkill. Soul was Pilicaās kill. Geyde died of guilt I think? And Pilica died to Geydeās bleed. Scum lost their superpower, and it was an even night, so they couldnāt have killed. Again, why protect Marshal from visits in that case?
This is just speculation, but yeah. Either Squid got random occed or someone targeted Marshal with some form of protection. However, guessing like that doesnāt get me anywhere, so oof.

I think Shurian caught Magnus in a lie. I donāt believe Magnus had any reason to fakeclaim just to defend himself from Marshalās accusation. He could have just claimed his real class if heās town. Whatās the point of fakeclaiming? If Marshal is town, he would be thunderdoming a town and that is always bad.
