Introduction

Welcome to SFOL Echoes!

The foundation of this SFOL is just like all FOLs, with a King, a similar mechanic to Royal Blood, and Conversion.
I’ve done my absolute best to attempt to take even more confirmation from the game as possible, so that abilities become tools for scumreading, not mechanical confirmation in itself.
The flavor for this game is taken from one-half of the game Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.

So, here’s everything below!

Rules

Gameplay

Days will be 3 days long, or shorter if someone is lynched
1st IRL day in 1 day will be the Battle Phase
2nd and 3rd IRL day will be the Lynch Phase
Nights will be 1 day long.
Actions are done by DMing me.
Rigelians will speak in a DM at day and night.
Rinea will also speak with the dead through a DM at day and night.
All classes can be used, the ones from below.
When you receive a card you will have 24 hours to reply, confirming you have received it
When everyone has confirmed, or 24 hours has passed, Day 1 will end

Executions

To accuse someone say “/accuse [player]” or “/vote [player]”
Executions are done by Trial
After the accused posts one message, everyone can begin casting votes
King may also Decide Fate during this time
Executions end the Day
Trials do not extend daytime

Mechanics and Feedback

Characteristics

Unique and Guaranteed are the same as the normal kind that’s found on FoL.

There is no bleeding nor poison.

Max cap for non-Unique classes is 3.

Magical is tied to classes that are flavor-wise magic users in Fire Emblem.

Nobility is taken as a modified version from ToL 1.2.

All Nobility gain another secret vote when voting someone else as King, and will only be taken into effect or shown if it actually matters.

The Scum faction (Deliverance) has a member cap of 4.

Neighborhoods

Nuibaba and Delthea have access to a neighborhood, in the form of a DM, where they can add and remove people.

NOTE: The neighborhood can only be used at night.

Feedback

Feedback is based on the foundation of the limited version from EFOL 1.

Meaning: Players will not know if they are attacked and healed, just healed, empowered, mind warped, and missed, dodged, or survived Day Attacks.

For non-Investigative classes, players will not know if they were occupied, ran into visit prevention, or redirected.

Basically means that most of the time, there will be a “you slept peacefully” or its easier variant, no feedback at all.

Exceptions

Investigative classes will be given a “no result” from their ability if occupied or visit prevented, and will only be told that they were redirected, not who they were redirected to.

Investigative classes will also get normal feedback from their abilities when not occupied or prevented.

Day Attackers will be told their target did not die for whatever reason. If they do die, well, you’ll see it in the thread.

Myrmidons, Python, Tatarrah, and Jedah will only visit their first target, not their second, when forcing players to visit another player.

All players will be told that they were killed, converted, changed classes, put in jail, and connected to the neighborhood.

NOTE: This game is explicitly non-bastard in all types and forms.

Classes

Specials

Battles

Starting Day 2, at the start of each day, the Rigelian Army and the Deliverance will meet to engage in battle. The winning side will gain useful prizes each day that sometimes could swing the tide of the game. All day abilities, including day attacks, can still be used during battles.

This is based off of the classic “Weapon Triangle” from Fire Emblem, where Axes beat Lances, Lances beat Swords, and Swords beat Axes, much like Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Members of The Deliverance will give a fake claim of what they will choose for the battle the night before: either Swords, Axes, or Lances. This will be displayed in bold text alongside some descriptive narrative at the start of the day.

The Deliverance will also give the real choice. There may be abilities that a class can use which allows them to choose Bows, forcing a tie the following day regardless of the Rigelians’ choice.

There will be 1 day in real time for all alive members to come to a vote in the thread by choosing Swords, Axes, or Lances. Some classes may have special abilities that affect this phase.

The Deliverance will come to blows against the Rigelian Army and the choices of both sides will be revealed.

Rigelian Victory: All Rigelians who voted for the winning weapon will gain 1 use of any limited ability of their choice. Some Rigelians may have passives or abilities that further benefit from winning.
Deliverance Victory: All Deliverance members will gain 1 use of any limited ability of their choice. Some Deliverance members also have passives or abilities that further benefit from winning.
Neutral Draws: In the case of draws or if a majority weapon is not reached, all Neutrals will gain 1 use of any limited ability of their choice. They also have passives or abilities that further benefit from these ties.

Day Attacks

Starting Day 2, during the day, some classes will be able to directly attack their targets by using Day Abilities. Unlike night attacks, this will have a result based on RNG. Each different ability has different hit rates, and some classes have passives and abilities that can increase hit rate or decrease hit rate of various players.

The way notifications for Day Attacks work, is anyone who can use a Day Attack will message me the name of their ability in the DM as well as their target, just like a regular ability. I will RNG it and see the result. The person who used the Day Attack as well as the target will get no feedback afterwards, unless one of them ends up dead. Misses, Protection, One-Shot Immunities, all those will give a no result feedback.

The only target Day Attacks may not go for is the King with one exception. Everyone else is fair game.

Upheaval (Night) - All players except you will gain the wrong feedback from their results, if they would get any, and be randomly redirected to any player except you. - oo uses

Coup (Day) - Attack the King. You have an 80% chance to kill him. If the King turns out to be Chancellor Desaix, you will be killed for treason tonight. Cannot gain uses from winning battles. - 1 use

Quick Assault (Day) - Attack a player. You have a 20% chance to kill them. - 2 use

Elite Vanguard (Night) - Summon your elite fighters to protect you, granting you death immunity and conversion immunity for the night. You will kill any attackers bypassing immunity. - 3 uses

Fortification (Night) - Grant yourself immunity to all day attacks tomorrow. - 2 use

You are the wall. The best line of defense. Your immense shields and body armor are the reason Rigel stands today, and will continue to stand for eternity. And every Deliverance soldier that rushes at you will find themselves against an immovable object.

Armored (Passive) - You will survive the first successful day attack that targets you. The first time you would die due to effects of Defend or Retaliation, you will survive.

Ridersbane (Passive) - If targeting a player with the Mounted passive during the day, you will have 40% more chance to kill them.

Javelin Toss (Day) - Attack a player. You have a 20% chance of killing them. - 2 uses

Defend (Night) - Watch over a player, and sacrifice your life to kill their attackers. Bypasses death immunity. - oo uses

Retaliation (Night) - Attack a player. If you kill a Rigelian, you will die as well. Cannot be used Night 1. - 2 uses

Converts to Tobin

Armed to the brim with arrows and your trusty bow, you are the long arm of the Rigelian Empire. There’s no need to lose your lives in hasty close combat when you could shoot them from far away. And you will bring this war to an end faster than it would without you. Provided you’re not shot, of course.

Anti-Air (Passive) - If targeting a player with the Airborne passive, you will have 50% more chance to kill them.

Loose Barrage (Passive) - If you kill a Rigelian with your day attacks, you will be unable to use any abilities the following day.

Snipe (Day) - Attack a player. You have a -10% chance to hit them with 0 uses. Each use you have on Snipe increases your chances of hitting your target by 20%. Expends all uses after a successful hit. - 1 use

Curved Shot (Day) - Attack a player. You have a 20% chance to kill them. - 1 use

Preparation (Night) - Gain 1 use of a Day Ability of your choice. - oo uses

Rapid Fire (Night) - Gain 2 uses of a Day Ability of your choice. - 2 uses

No walls or citadels have enough height to stop your search. And though you could just as easily hurl javelins down onto the soldiers below, you and your pegasus fly above all the other soldiers, and act as the silent scout in the night.

Airborne (Passive) - You bypass visit prevention and all players who target you with Day Attacks have 10% less chance to hit. If the Deliverance used Bows during today’s battle, this passive is disabled until the next day.

Reconnaissance (Day) - Choose a player and see if they used a Day Ability today. You will be notified at the start of tonight. - 1 use

Aerial Vigil (Night) - Watch a player and see who visits them. - oo uses

Follow (Night) - Follow a player with your pegasus and see who they visit. - 2 uses

Converts to Ezekiel

A veteran cavalier, you are the vanguard and pride of the Rigelian army. Your mounts are quick, and your lances are sharp. At the head of every battalion, your battlecry brings morale to your troops. And until the Emperor himself tells you to lay down your arms, you will continue to lead the charge and fight for the glory of Rigel.

Mounted (Passive) - You are able to use both night abilities in the same night.

Lancefaire (Passive) - If the Rigelians win a battle with Lances, gain 1 additional use of any limited ability.

Loyalize (Day) - Choose a player and make them conversion immune tonight. Cannot be used Day 1. - 2 uses

Garrison (Night) - Grant another player death immunity to all successful day attacks that hit them tomorrow. - oo use

Bolster (Night) - Choose a player. Their Day Attacks will be 20% more accurate tomorrow. - 3 uses

Mage

Rigel’s army, though it may be filled with iron-willed and hardened soldiers, also has room for those gifted with magical powers. Spellcasters who wield powerful fire magic, shocking lightning magic, and unstable wind magic, are most desired among all soldiers to make the enemy’s day even more worse. And you have plenty up your sleeve for the Deliverance to take.

Thunder (Day) - Attack a player. You have a 20% chance to kill them. If they are Magical, you will lose 20% accuracy. If they have the Armored passive, you will gain 20% accuracy. Disables the Armored and Iron-Clad passive’s effect when targeting a player with it. - 2 uses

Firewall (Day) - Prevent all visits to a player tonight. - 1 use

Empower (Night) - Choose a player and guarantee their night ability is successful and bypasses immunities. - oo uses

Excalibur (Night) - Choose two players and swap their positions. Bypasses redirection immunity. - 2 uses

Converts to Silque

Advocates of pacifism, you desire no war nor bloodshed on any country’s soil. However, forced into servitude of Rigel by the fall of your goddess, Mila, you find that it may be easier to deal with the suffering if you can save as many lives as possible on the battlefield.

Warp (Day) - Teleport a player and bring them to you today. For the rest of today, any day attacks and abilities that target them will be ineffective, but they will die alongside you if you die to a day attack. - 2 uses

Recover (Night) - Heal a player. Their day attacks will gain 10% accuracy tomorrow. - oo uses.

Physic (Night) - Choose a player and heal their wounds, bypassing visit prevention and redirection. Their day attacks will gain 10% accuracy tomorrow. - 2 uses

Rigel’s Heir (Passive) - If Starting Alm, you will appear as a Rigelian to all checks on you, all day attacks targeting you will have 20% less accuracy, and the day after a King Rudolf dies at night, you will have the priority ascension to the throne.

Commandeering (Day) - If Clive is dead at the end of today, choose another Deliverance member. They will become Clive at the start of tonight. - 1 use
