Our days are limited. There are numerous topics to discuss. Just ‘giving up’ and ‘letting the thread die’ isn’t a thing. Not to mention that sparking discussion doesn’t mean forcing people to produce fake thoughts or reads. Not everyone is able to read through the entirety of the thread, and people miss things.
Pointing out cliffs that should have more discussion, or using our time to analyze and then pointing out the things we found through said analysis to start the discussion is +EV for us.
