TBE that whole argument isn’t even worth factoring in because nothing stops Italy from lying about not being converted as a convert.
Also there’s another, just as likely scenario where Italy is MM and Gorta is an Assassin, therefore there was no kill because Italy is DI. That would make him “not a convert” as well.

Point is, taking someone’s word as the absolute truth in a game about lying seems unwise.
