The great KP capabilities are part of the reason why there are fewer wolves. Just 5 groupscum + a lost wolf in a 27er. Normally you’d see 6 groupscum and a lost wolf, or just 7 wolves.

And also why I buffed town KP. Would suck if all town KP had hardcore guilt.

You have a singular factional kill per night, which is compulsory and assigned. One must sacrifice their night action in order to perform the kill. A different Syndicate member must perform the kill each night until every living member has performed the kill, then the cycle resets.

This is now a thing so that the Syndicate needs to strategize more. I realized that they would just spam Templar every night in 99% of cases.

It also encourages them to actually try and use the different factional kill effects to their advantage.

Currently wondering if HoB needs buffs, but I don’t think they do. Each class fills a niche and they have plenty of information to use if they need to, since everything is out in the open.

The Actuary

Hand of Byzantium Investigative
Sharp Eyes (Day) - Choose a player. At the start of the night, if you are still alive, you will be informed if they used any day abilities during the day. (2 uses)
Notice to Detail (Day) - At the start of the night, if you are still alive, you will be informed how many day abilities were used during the day. (2 uses)
Inventory (Night) - Choose a player and learn how many remaining uses they have for all of their abilities total. You will either learn that there are “more than 2 uses” or “2 or fewer uses.” Infinite-use abilities count as zero.
Defeat the Syndicate .

Tracking (Day) - Choose a player. At the end of the coming night, you will learn if they left their room during that night. (2 uses)
Silent Stalking (Night) - Learn who a player visits tonight.
Midnight Vigil (Night) - Learn who visited target player tonight. (2 uses)

Some HoB are stronger then others

I think with a good roll they should be good

with anti-claim being class the second one is a lot stronger then the first

The Coroner

Hand of Byzantium Social
Grave Focus (Day) - If you successfully use Exhume or Forensics tonight, you will additionally learn the exact class of the target’s killer. If multiple effects killed the player at the same time, you will learn all of the classes which caused them. If the effect that killed them was a factional ability, you will learn that the Syndicate killed your target. (2 uses)
Exhume (Night) - Choose a dead player. At the end of the night, you will learn how they died. (The specific type of death. Anticlaim will appear as “anticlaim.”)
Forensics (Night) - Choose a dead player. At the end of the night, you will learn all of their visitors throughout the game, but not when they visited that player. Can only be used on players who died on the fourth night or later. (1 use)

this is besides the priestess the only social class

so I take it that means there is no royal blood-equivalent, besides what the archon has

Royal Blood (Passive) - Each vote you receive during King elections will count as two.

Actuary is supposed to be a claim-verifier to some extent. You could also claim it to tag someone who softed or something.

There are classes with Royal Blood, just not Coroner. I didn’t include more Social classes because there’s Priestess and there’s also the King election.

Also, the fewer powerful/swingy abilities HoB has, the lower the chances of them screwing themselves over by failing to tag the wolves.

There are classes with Royal Blood, just not Coroner. I didn’t include more Social classes because there’s Priestess and there’s also the King election.

Like, the Worshipper neighborhood exists to fill the void left by a lack of social classes. There’s also Mental Restructuring, which is basically a wolf Mystic ability. Of course, the wolves will see what you post, but you can still talk reads etc. Maybe it’ll influence their nightkills later? You never know.

It’s not expected to catch scum, it’s supposed to narrow things down a little. Very few abilities HoB has completely out a wolf, which is the point.

You can use mech and coordinate with Priestess / Audience chat / even wolf Mystic chat, but you can’t rely on on it too hard.
