It still wouldn’t work that well because it’s…three players that distract from main dynamic of game.
That’s more than an 8th of the playerlist.
like it’s a good concept on paper but in practice you very rarely have a black and grey scenario
Games did not get reviewed for the most part back then
We had the council.
Only for SFOL
wait no they changed that
and it’s a SFol anyway
Also we had better tolerance for poorly-designed classes.
coughFoolcoughRevenantcoughAlchSurvivorcoughUniqueSheriffPaladincough
So we have a higher bar for classes nowadays. A lot of Neirik’s 3p classes don’t make the cut.
The meta was so much different back then
Setups at some level had to be able to be mechanically solved because town play on average was…questionable to say the least
Worse than now?
Not really. We used to play vanilla setups and we had a fair amount of town victory.
I think in 2018 it used to be better.
In the last 12ish games wolves have had a 80%-90% winrate, and BD got extremely lucky because of mechanics and cross-killing in FoL27.
didn’t the wolves also suck equally hard back then
for this setup to work, it’ll need a full overhaul
you can keep it as is and just run it, but some of the mechanics are ehhh
like the royal chat
Like, the worst large-scale town game then I’d say was probably Overwatch, and they lost because a villager got modkilled for game integrity-related reasons at MyLo and would have won had not that issue happened. In other matches like Ace Attorney or FEFates were decisive town victories.
Here lately every damn large-scale game has been a wolf win.
yeah
one of the biggest things I’ve noticed happening is scum play getting better, not town play getting worse
now wolves actually push mislynches sometimes
I mean, compare how people handled ITAs in FEFates versus Anime or JJBA.
There’s less of a push for town cohesion here and now everyone does whatever the hell they want nowadays.
Wasn’t FE Fates one of the archetypical examples of Good Townplay On This Site?
