They chose to play in an event which grants occupation and redirect immunity for a night.
They then came online after seeing that people were frustrated and suspected them to try to attempt damage control.
There was no town motivation in their activities.

They would but still there is a complete lack of motivation for King to do that unless they are scum king.
Furthermore, I think it was insincere which is why it is slightly AI.
