[SFoL] SFoL 48: Hand of Byzantium II - (3/16) - Completed - The Unseen, the Necromancer, and the Insurgent Win!

Meta could have been used so hard against me. HoB 1, cult alt surgeon, HoB 2, squire turned Surgeon. Claim out of convenience, but it was effective enough.

I saw you signal

But then I thought that Marcus was MM and you were the assassin so I decided to lynch based on that.

It kinda worked out actually since Marcus and I coordinated in Imperial chat of all places.

Can you invite me to that? Kind of curious.

Also Mastermind should be bleed immune.

Hey @Alice when does SFoL 49 start?

May 26th.

can it start now?

Maybe I would do done it like that (all personal opinion):

  • Remove Insurgent’s death immunity (they can occupy people who could kill them if they play smart)
  • Remove death immunity from Necromancer (they don’t need it when they already have visit prevention), and disallow them from using killer abilities (too swingy. Maybe you could allow them to use convert version of abilities of dead town to compensate? Idk.).
  • Nerf death immunity for Crone and Senex for good measure probably.
  • Saint rapture should be replaced by some ability like: if you die at night, you will instead die at EoD, this would prevent IC thing, and less control over when it happens.
  • Priestess: not sure, but should be replaced with something.

I just realized, I’m not clear about anti-town neut wincons, do they need to survive to win? They probably shouldn’t need to survive, otherwise it’d be too necessary to give them immunities for fairness, but idk, maybe it will be too easy to win.

Insurgent would probably be even more frustrating for scum if they are town-aligned.

And yeah, no day chat with the dead, it’s strong and not even much fun.

Insurgent feels very much like a sellsword that doesn’t know what side he’s playing on until the king is dead, you saw here that he thought he was town because scum put that idea in, if you’re unsure, play wolf as you’re more likely to be wolf-aligned

Viscount is definitely more the pretender here

I think delaying the thunderdome so that the town/neutrals can’t just lolhammer is slightly better. Datbirb was ready to hammer on whoever he thought was town, and the added benefit of being flexible to perhaps go for another mislynch has more EV, It was definitely a boiler room situation that didn’t have to be

Astand had just died didn’t he? I think that proves that there is a MM and an assassin, with a scum in datbirb/baz we actually had votes there I think, if scum weren’t voting themselves they can cleanly mislynch

nice

Denied

Actually it didn’t. Bazinga could have been EK who shot Astand

Never mind Math derp

Could’ve been

but he wasn’t

I knew from his heavy insistence on pushing Solic that he was town, and I figured Marcus had to be scum because his night action claim N4 was impossible.

Also how did Marcus go from Socialite to 2nd Assassin to Mastermind? He never hit his Unseen counterpart’s role so shouldn’t have gotten TWbtM as a passive.

Think the passive inherits.

Any convert with only a MM

Goes through convert class and then turns into an assassin. It’s not direct

Alice rules that differently, apparently. I was also surprised.
